  At the Gershman Y of the JCCs of Greater Philadelphia, Leslie will be speaking on an esteemed panel regarding body image issues. As of right now, she will be joined by Lori Lefkovitz, the founder of Kolot: The Center for Jewish Women's and Gender Studies at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, where she is on the faculty. There will also be a series of ongoing, body image-related art exhibits: Work from Barbara Zucker's Time Signatures, a series of sculptures based on wrinkles in the faces of older women and photographer Ellie Brown, who has documenting her younger sisters and cousins; one sister is anorexic.

She will read from her book and talk about self-esteem, body image and more.   Coinciding with the National Organization for Women's "Love Your Body Day," Leslie will be the keynote speaker at Robert Crown Center for Health Education (RCC) on Oct. 17. Reaching out to approximately 100 local educators, parents, and students, as well as to the RCC Board members and Hinsdale Women's Auxiliary Board members, the goal is to begin generating conversation about healthy body image, as well as to raise awaeness about the RCC's new program, Body Image: A Program for Boys and Girls.
